Foreign Powers and Subversion — The Deep State's Hybrid War Against a Rising India

Translated from the original Hindi · मूल हिंदी लेख पढ़ें

This is an exceedingly bitter and irrefutable law of history: on the world stage, no superpower (be it America, Britain, or China) wishes to see another developing country emerge as a rival challenging its economic and strategic hegemony.

During the Cold War era, when the Soviet Union began to rival America, Western powers shattered the Soviet Union into 15 fragments in 1991—not with weapons, but through internal economic sanctions, ideological infiltration, and the stoking of sub-nationalism.

Today, that very same game is being played with utter aggression against India, a nation of 140 crore people!

Today, when India is landing Chandrayaan on the moon, marching towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy from the fifth, and adopting an independent stance in global diplomacy—why has there suddenly been a deluge of venomous campaigns against India across Western media, international think tanks, and human rights NGOs?

In Chapter 23 (‘External Forces Working for India’s Disintegration’) of his book ‘Anokha Bharat’ (Unique India), N. Singh unmasks this clandestine chakravyuh (multi-layered trap) of international ‘Hybrid Warfare’ and the ‘Deep State’.

The Four Invisible Fronts of Hybrid Warfare: The Strategy to Break India from Within

Conventional wars are fought with cannons and missiles; but hybrid war is waged through ideas, fake news, foreign funding, and social fault lines:

  1. Bias of International Rating Agencies and Media:
    • In the Global Hunger Index, India is ranked even behind war-torn Sudan and bankrupt Pakistan!
    • In the Press Freedom Index and Democracy Index, ludicrous attempts are made to equate India with Afghanistan and Syria, so that foreign investors hesitate to commit capital to India.
  2. Clandestine Foreign Funding of Caste and Religious Agitations:
    • Western financial speculators like George Soros and their organisations (such as the Open Society Foundations) openly declare that they will spend billions of dollars to overthrow ‘nationalist governments’ in India.
    • By dragging petty caste and regional disputes within the country to international forums (the UN, US Congress), a narrative is spun that India has become a living hell for minorities and Dalits.
  3. Stalling Development Projects in the Name of Environment and Human Rights:
    • Whenever a major copper plant (such as the Sterlite Copper plant in Tamil Nadu), a nuclear power plant (Kudankulam), or a seaport (Vizhinjam) comes up in India, foreign-funded NGOs suddenly instigate locals to launch violent agitations. The moment the Sterlite plant was shut down, India—which was an exporter of copper—was forced to import copper from China!
  4. Western Sanctuary for Khalistani and North-Eastern Separatism:
    • From the soil of Canada, the UK, and America, posters calling for the balkanisation of India and the assassination of Indian diplomats are put up openly, and governments there shield terrorists in the name of ‘freedom of expression’.

Direct Military Warfare vs Modern Hybrid Warfare

Parameter Direct Conventional War (1965, 1971) Modern Hybrid Subversion (Foreign Conspiracy)
Battlefield Front-line borders, artillery, and fighter aircraft Citizens’ minds, social media, universities, and narratives
Weapons Guns, tanks, and missiles Fake foreign research papers, toolkits, foreign funding, and bot armies
Target Enemy army bunkers and bases The nation’s social fabric, national unity, and economic infrastructure
Identification The enemy is clearly visible in uniform A handful of compromised intellectuals, politicians, and NGOs within the country serve as the front

Bitter Truth from the Book: Strategic Analysis by N. Singh

The author N. Singh writes in Chapter 23 of his book ‘Anokha Bharat’:

“No global empire wishes to see another country stand as its equal. When defeating India in direct warfare became impossible, the Western Deep State pumped billions of dollars into the caste, religious, and regional contradictions existing within India itself, unleashing a ‘hybrid war’ to hollow India out from the inside. The East India Company too had previously bought over the Mir Jafars and Jaichands; today, the exact same game is afoot. To serve their own narrow political ends, certain selfish politicians and self-styled intellectual overlords from our country travel abroad to malign India’s democracy and plead for foreign intervention! This is not merely political opposition, but an unpardonable crime akin to stabbing the motherland in the back!”
— N. Singh (Anokha Bharat, pp. 248–249)

The author further jolts his fellow countrymen:

“If we keep fighting among ourselves in the name of castes, languages, and religions, no foreign power will ever need to attack us; we will reduce our own nation to rubble with our own hands!”
— (Anokha Bharat, p. 252)

Four National Security Measures to Thwart Foreign Conspiracies

  1. Strictest Scrutiny of FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act): There must be rigorous forensic audits of the end-use of funds received by any NGO, trust, or media house accepting foreign donations; the licences of entities indulging in activities detrimental to national interests must be revoked immediately.
  2. National Social Media and Data Sovereignty: The sensitive data of Indian citizens must be prevented from being transferred to foreign servers; foreign social media platforms must be compelled to comply with Indian laws and IT regulations to the very letter.
  3. A Parallel Indian Rating and Index System: To counter biased Western agencies, fair, transparent, and scientific rating institutions should be established in partnership with BRICS and countries of the Global South.
  4. Strengthening Internal Social Fraternity: Foreign powers exploit only those fault lines that already exist within our society. If we accord genuine social justice and dignity to our Dalit, Adivasi, and impoverished brothers, no foreign power will ever be able to divide us.

A Question for Reflection (The Message of the Book)

Will we continue to remain puppets of those foreign powers that wish to see India as a weak and divided country, all for the sake of our petty political and caste interests?

To understand this invisible global hybrid war underway against India, the machinations of the Deep State, and the grave dimensions of national security, every patriotic citizen ought to read this twenty-third chapter of N. Singh’s acclaimed book ‘Anokha Bharat’.

No global empire wishes to see another country stand as its equal. When defeating India in direct warfare became impossible, the Western Deep State pumped billions of dollars into the caste, religious, and regional contradictions existing within India itself, unleashing a 'hybrid war' to hollow India out from the inside.
